  • What: This calendar covers events taking place in the Santa Cruz area by Jewish organizations and selected other events of interest to the local Jewish community.

When: The calendar is updated as events are announced. There is no schedule or deadline for getting items posted (though, as a general rule, posting an event before it takes place is best).

Where: For the timebeing, the map feature can put you just about anywhere in the world. If a street address is listed, that's your better bet. Or check the Web site of the hosting or sponsoring organization for locations and directions.

How: The calendar is produced and managed using Google's calendar utility and exported to this site via a script that can be inserted into a Web document to produce other instances of the calendar as needed. Google provides other tools for sharing calendars and we can provide this information.

Who: This is the work of primarily one person with the active support of a wide selection of the local Jewish organizations listed above. A form for submitting items or otherwise getting in touch is high up on the ol' to-do list In the meantime, send me a note at ldjaffe@yahoo.com.
